The “2024–2028 Strategic Plan” of Kütahya Dumlupınar University has been officially published. This comprehensive plan outlines institutional objectives across multiple domains, including education and teaching, research, societal contribution, internationalization, and sustainability.

In direct alignment with this strategic framework, the Department of Mechanical Engineering positions itself as an active contributor and assumes responsibilities in the following priority areas:

Education and Teaching

Within the scope of education and teaching, the Strategic Plan emphasizes objectives such as delivering high-quality engineering education, promoting practice-oriented learning, and strengthening industry collaboration. These priorities serve as guiding principles for the Department’s academic planning and curriculum development.

Research and Technology Production

Under the theme of research and technological advancement, the Department is expected to contribute by generating applied engineering solutions and fostering strong university–industry collaborations. Enhancing research output and technological innovation remains a central focus.

Strategic Objectives of the Department

Objective 1: To fully align the Department’s educational programs with the quality assurance and innovative teaching goals outlined in the University’s Strategic Plan.
