Mission

Grounded in the mission of Kütahya Dumlupınar University—to educate individuals who are inquisitive, productive, capable of problem-solving, committed to continuous self-improvement, and sensitive to environmental and societal values—our Department has continued its academic journey, which began in 2010 under the title of Manufacturing Engineering and was restructured in 2017 as Mechanical Engineering.

In alignment with this institutional mission, the Department aims to educate mechanical engineers who are competent at both national and international levels; who think creatively and systematically; who are inclined toward teamwork; who uphold professional and ethical responsibilities; and who demonstrate environmental awareness. Through strong collaboration with industry and research institutions, the Department is dedicated to preparing highly qualified engineers capable of actively contributing to design, manufacturing, implementation, and research and development (R&D) processes.

Vision

In harmony with the vision of Kütahya Dumlupınar University—to become an entrepreneurial and innovative university recognized nationally and internationally in education, science, and social domains—the Department aspires to conduct its educational and academic activities in accordance with international standards.

The Department seeks to attain a leading position in knowledge and technology production; to serve as a bridge among industry, academia, and society; and to become a distinguished academic unit that provides effective solutions to engineering challenges in our country. Furthermore, it aims to achieve excellence in research and to be recognized as a model department in contemporary engineering practices.
